Visit the market
Our museum is home to the renowned Alexandra Market.
The market, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m on the second Saturday each month from September to May, is held in the grounds of the magnificent former railway station at 7 Station Street, Alexandra.
Admission is $2 per person (under 8s free) and monies raised support the Museum. Free parking is available adjacent to the site .
Stalls typically sell food, plants and herbs, regionally made products, fashion and tools. BBQ food is available as well as tea, coffee and cold drinks.
As an added attraction, our train usually runs on market days, headed up by our petrol engined Malcolm Moore loco that used to work the hydro scheme tramway up in the hills.
